Hello Runners!

Welcome to the London Life Forest City Road Races website!  2010 will be our 28th year, and we invite you to join us for all the fun and festivities.  In 2009 we experienced a record year, with 2,474 runners registering in our different races.   Hoping to build on that record number of runners, we have several changes in store for 2010:

Date Change:  The races will be held a week earlier than usual in 2010, as we move to Sunday May 2. 

Change to Races Offered:  In 2010 we will offer a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1K Fun Run.  Long-time runners will notice that we are not offering a marathon.  Sadly, due to several years of declining participation and increasing logistical requirements, it is no longer feasible for us to offer this distance.   However, we will put our energies into the remaining distances, which have shown very strong growth in the past few years.  Also note that the old 2.5K race has been changed to a 1K Fun Run, one lap around Victoria Park!  It should be great fun for kids and parents of all ages.

Registration and Mini-Expo:  Runners are asked to pick up their race packets on Saturday May 1, at the Registration Tent in Victoria Park, between 10am to 5pm.  To accommodate the larger number of runners participating, we have moved Packet Pickup to the park and increased the number of stations for pickup.   A select number of exhibitors will set up adjacent to the Registration Tent to offer great deals on gear of interest to runners.  Check back on the website for more details as we get closer.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our past runners.  In 2009 we raised $65,000 for our charitable partner, the Thames Valley Children’s Centre.  Please check out the video below, or visit the TVCC website to learn more about the great work they do.
